- Depuis le début de sa carrière, Malik Shaheed a interviewé plusieurs artistes notoires dont P. Diddy, Eminem, Sean Paul, 50 cent, The Backstreet Boy, Pink, Lenny Kravitz, Beyonce, Jay-Z, LL Cool J, Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg, The Beastie Boys, Akon, Wyclef Jean et plusieurs autres.
Artiste
- Son album « Franglais » fut un des meilleurs vendeurs d’album rap francophone en 2006. Même si la langue maternelle de Malik Shaheed est l’anglais, il a tenu à produire son premier album en français par amour pour cette langue et pour la culture qui l’entoure.

- Récipiendaire en 2007 de la prestigieuse Médaille de la paix du YMCA
-En 2007 il reçoit également le prix S.O.B.A. pour sa contribution à l’avancement du Hip hop au Québec et au Canada.

- De plus, à trois reprises, il a été sélectionné pour être juge aux Prix Juno, dans la catégorie Meilleur R&B/Hip Hop (les Juno sont l’équivalent canadien des American Music Awards)
- A deux reprises Malik participe au prestigieux gala québécois de l’ADISQ où il participe à titre de juré dans la catégorie Hip Hop.

- Il a eu l’opportunité d’être la doublure de Denzel Washington dans le film « The Bone Collector » et « John Q ».

- Malik Shaheed est considéré comme le plus grand promoteur urbain de Montréal. Dans le passé, il a organisé plusieurs grandes fêtes et événements pour des célébrités dont Prince, Denzel Washington et Wyclef Jean.

- Grâce à son influence de la culture populaire, Malik a déjà été mannequin pour une campagne publicitaire d’ENYCE, en plus d’avoir été présenté dans les commerciaux de Sleeman Silver Creek, Skittles et dans une affiche publicitaire de la Banque de Montréal.
- Même si Malik a grandi dans l’un des quatre quartiers les plus défavorisés de Montréal ; La petit Bourgogne, il a fait preuve de détermination tout au long de son cheminement académique et professionnel.
De par sa persévérance et son talent, Malik Shaheed est reconnu aujourd’hui comme l’une des personnalités artistiques les plus influentes dans le domaine de la culture populaire au Québec.
Contributions communautaires
- Grâce à sa Fondation Jeunes Étoiles, Malik Shaheed s’implique grandement auprès de la jeunesse. Celle-ci l’amène à s’impliquer dans de nombreuses activités communautaires avec les jeunes à travers le Québec.
- Malik Shaheed a comme but d’encourager les jeunes provenant de milieux défavorisés, en leur donnant l’opportunité de participer à diverses activités, événements et ateliers qui utilisent les arts et les sports comme outils de motivation.
- Pendant cinq ans, Malik a travaillé en tant qu’animateur et coordonnateur jeunesse au YMCA de Montréal, Pointe-Saint-Charles et Avenue du Parc.
- En association avec Santé Canada, il organisa aussi la tournée pour la prévention de la toxicomanie auprès des jeunes.
- En partenariat avec le Patrimoine Canadien, il a organisé le concours Mathieu Da Costa et Mettons fin au racisme.
- Malik fait la tournée des écoles et des centres communautaires jeunesses pour aider à contrer le décrochage scolaire.
- Malik a organisé la tournée Unité pour promouvoir le multiculturalisme. Les jeunes étaient invités à faire part de leurs expériences et opinions dans un cadre éducatif et interactif.
- Il organise à chaque année le Festival de danse hip hop québécois dans la ville de Québec. L’événement rassemble un grand nombre de jeunes âgés entre 15 et 25 ans et touche plus de 10,000 personnes au Québec.
- Dans le cadre des journées pédagogiques où d’activités parascolaires, la Fondation Jeunes Étoiles organise des ateliers chorégraphiques de danse à travers les écoles de la province.
- Dernièrement, Il a mis sur pied un spectacle gratuit avec le groupe de l’heure WOW pour les jeunes de l’arrondissement Sud-Ouest.
Enfin, en raison de son grand intérêt envers les jeunes de la province, Malik Shaheed ne cesse de contribuer aux événements de la relève. Ce dernier a comme objectif de continuer à aider les jeunes encore et encore.

Community Contributions
Through his Youth Stars Foundation, Malik is very much involved with youth. This allows him to involve himself in many community activities and events related to youth in Quebec.
∙ Malik’s goal is to encourage youth from disadvantaged environments, by giving them the oppurtunities to participate in diverse activities, events and workshops by using arts and sports as motivational tools.
∙ For the past five years Malik has worked as an animator and youth coordinator at the YMCA of Montreal, Pointe-St-Charles and Parc Avenue.
∙ Working with Health Canada, Malik organized a drug and alcohol prevention tour for youth.
∙ In partnership with Canadian Heritage, Malik organized the Matthew DaCosta challenge, as part of the annual Stop Racism campaign.
∙ In efforts to encourage kids to stay in school, Malik toured schools and youth community centers against dropping out.
∙ Malik organized the Unity Tour to promote multiculturalism. Students were asked to participate and share they’re opinions and experiences in an educational and interactive environment.
∙ Every year, Malik organizes the first and only Quebec Hip Hop Dance Festival in Quebec City. The event attracts a large number of people between the ages of 15 & 25 and reaches over 10,000 people in the province of Quebec.
∙ Malik’s Youth Stars Foundation also offers dance workshops to students at schools across the province during pedagogical days and lunch or after school hours.
∙ Lastly, Malik organized a free concert for young people, with the new music group of the hour, WOW, for youth in the South-West district.
Because of his compassion and dedication to youth in the province, Malik Shaheed will continue to contribute to youth related events. His last objective is to continue helping and motivating our young people.
